Adventures Continued

Lolee and Hayes had a ball throwing ice off of the pier into the frigid waters of Lake Ontario.
Elyzabeth, closely guarded by Aunts Tricia and Jarilyn, ventured all the way out to the Lighthouse on the ice pier.

Hayes fell asleep in Grandpa's arms as we walked through the Sacred Grove.

We visited the Smith family's log cabin and frame home.

Round Two of Presents

Lolee's Christmas dress, which she promptly declared she "hated!" because it was not long enough.

Hayes loves his hammer.

Elyzabeth's dress was perfect, and the blue matches her eyes so prettily. (Lolee actually wanted one just like it.)

Our second Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa

We were all so excited to have Grandpa, Grandma, Tanner and Jarilyn join us the day after Christmas.

Christmas Morning

Tricia decorated the Inn for Christmas, and it was magical. This is Christmas morning in front of the fireplace.

Christmas Eve Nativity

Lolee took her role as Mary quite seriously.

Elyzabeth, as the angel, held the star (an ornament off the tree) over Mary and the baby Jesus.

Christmas Pie

While visiting Tricia in Palmyra for Christmas, we recreated the Wilkinson family tradition (passed on by the Wigginses) of Christmas Pie. On Christmas Eve we brought out a bowl, rather than a wash basin, with ribbons attached to presents for the children. The girls thought it was great fun to hear the story of Christmas Pie.

The things we do

We had a lot of snow, and it was very, very cold! Hayes doesn't like his mask so well, but it keeps his cheeks from getting frost-bite.

The girls earned a reward for doing their chores and being obedient. They chose to have a sleepover in their tent in the living room, at the suggestion of their dad.

Hayes discovered the bean jar. He introduced them to the floor.
